Jeep new Wrangler 2018: spy shots

Same name and same basic style with new engines and bodies

In the pictures we have on this gallery for you today, we can see the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, spotted with what appears to be one of the new top options.

It appears to have the rumored true three-piece hardtop which would allow the removal of the front two or all roof panels, while keeping some pillars in place or the entire roof off, as a way to easily allow for open-air driving. It's one of several rumored roof options for the new Wrangler, including a hard glass roof, retractable fabric roof and the possible deletion of the basic folding soft-top.

Mechanical details are expected to include significant amounts of aluminum. A new 2.0-liter turbo four, dubbed Hurricane and expected to be more fuel-efficient option. The Pentastar V6 and eight-speed automatic will be the mainstream powertrain, although the big news will be a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel for North America and global markets. A hybrid powertrain is also rumored, but a six-speed manual is confirmed to be available.
