The new compact XC40 spied out in Volvo’s home country
It seems the small crossover will make its debut at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show, the first of the new 40-series, when it will arrive in early 2018: scandinavian design, plenty of room and a high level of active and passive safety. Volvo put focus on a high riding position and a large boot. This XC40 will be a competitor to the likes of BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA, so people expect an entry-level price of 30000 Euros about. Not so long after its debut, will be a three-cylinder entry-level unit and a plugin hybrid, for the T5. A full electric drivetrain won’t be available before 2020.
