New Spanish small SUV expected in early 2018

Here are last images of that will be a new small Seat SUV. Expected on sale within the next 12 months and likely to be called the Arona.

Spanish brand has confirmed the new model will sit below the new Ateca in its range and compete with rivals such as the Nissan Juke and Opel Meriva. At a press conference last March, Seat's boss Luca de Meo confirmed a smaller SUV model will definitely come and after having shot the car during a night-test last summer, here are again images showing the car is undergoing cold-climate tests in northern Europe.

The Arona will be based on the Seat Ibiza supermini and be built alongside that car at Martorell factory. It'll go on sale early in 2018 and is expected to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next September. It's likely the new small SUV will use the same chassis technology as other SEAT, Volkswagen and Skoda models. Design will also introduce the styling of the next-generation Ibiza.
