New hybrid sportscar will arrive next year with more power and range
The i8 is scheduled to receive a mid-cycle revamp and also an i8 Spyder will arrive next year. We have now new spyshots of this car, it looks like the i8 Spyder will get a power-folding canvas setup.
It seems also that BMW has been upgrading the i8 Formula E safety car's battery pack from 7.1 to 10 kWh, increasing range (maybe 50 percent) for the facelifted models. Rumours suggest a combined output boost to over 400 HP.
